Tapioc Camden

Our scope included the complete refurbishment and interior fitout of a vacant and neglected commercial unit, situated on a popular section of Camden High Street. Craft were responsible for acquiring planning permission for a new roof structure and co-ordinating a complex fire strategy, whilst also producing the interior design and providing contract administration throughout construction.

Our client wished to extensively renovate the ground floor space to create a vibrant, bright and modern interior that matched her vision for an exciting Brazilian food outlet. A new pitched roof with skylights creates a lofty double height space, with high levels of natural light drawing people to the rear of the building and transforming a previously dark back of house area. Thoughtful positioning of track lighting, hanging pendants, wall lights and strip lighting also sparks intrigue and interest to attract customers in from the street.

By designing bespoke furniture, such as wall hung benches and standing countertops, we made the most efficient use of space, maximising customer seating and allowing clear access to the narrow yet deep layout. The colour scheme reflects the company branding, creating a colourful and playful space to work, visit and eat.
